PRÉSENTATION

La création de la bande originale de Jamais plus Jamais fut au départ proposée à John Barry, mais celui-ci déclina l'offre, préférant travailler sur le Bond "officiel" de la même année, à savoir Octopussy. Les producteurs Jack Schwartzman et Kevin McClory se rendirent alors compte qu'ils ne pourraient pas retrouver le son Bond / Barry sans enfreindre la loi sur le copyright et prirent la décision d'aller à contre-courant en proposant la réalisation de la musique au compositeur français Michel Legrand, Oscar de la meilleure chanson en 1968 pour L'Affaire Thomas Crown. Le thème du générique, écrit par Alan et Marilyn Bergman, sera interprété par Lani Hall, ex-star des années 70, femme du trompettiste et co-fondateur de la maison de production A&M Records, Herb Alpert.
